9 months
I took my son to his last doctor's appointment for his 9-month check up. He received his vaccinations and we said our final good-byes to the wonderful staff that has helped me through the first quarter of his life. We will be moving Georgia so that I can hopefully gain acceptance into one of their medical schools. My son's pediatrician has further motivated me to pursue my dream of becoming a physician. Her compassion and pure love of the field drives me to give my all to attain this goal. I am not the strongest academic student but I have the biggest heart and the most passion. When I start a project, I work my hardest to finish, not just my hardest but I give my best. I desire to offer childcare to impoverished kids. When I stare into the eyes of my son, I am reassured of my purpose in life: to pursue excellence for God's glory while striving to affect as many lives as possible. So today, I am asking what can I do to carry out my mission each and every day? Not just my long term goals, but what can I do outside of the classroom every day that will contribute to my long term goal. I want to positively affect lives, not only medically, but also emotionally. I can start by service.
